The Homemaker is a member of a professional team who is trained, screened and certified before providing care in the home.

 Services provided:

·         Light housekeeping

·         Meal preparation

·         Laundry

·         Protective Child Care

·         Budget management  

Extra services desired by a client, beyond basic needs as determined by the case manager are available at full fee.

 Who is eligible?

Calhoun County residents of any age who demonstrate a need. Priority is given to cases involving abuse or neglect, elderly persons with disabilities and low income.  Individuals, family members, physicians, nurses, social workers or any concerned persons may refer to program.  Self referrals are welcome.  

What is the fee?

Clients are assessed for third party payment eligibility. If not eligible for third party payment, a sliding fee scale based on the client's household income is used to determine the fee for service. Services are partially funded through grant monies received from the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Elderbridge Agency on Aging.
